Dhum

Review
A well-made, action-packed film with shades of the Tamil film 'Dheena'. The redeeming feature of this film is a powerful performance by young sensation Sudeep. The dialogues, cinematography and debutante Raghunath (of 'Rangayana' theatre troupe) step-up the quality of the film. Sudeep has given a spectacular performance. His dialogue delivery is tremendous and he dances quite convincingly. Rakshitha has given a controlled performance. The powerful performance of Raghunath of 'Rangayana' is awesome. Sumitra, Nassar, Srinath and others render good support. Looks like Gurukiran has picked up the tunes of his own films (like 'Chandu') and rehashed them. Cinematography by Venu is good.
Producer: Kanakapura Srinivas
Story, Dialogue and Direction: Ramesh M S
Music: Gurukiran

Story Line
The protagonist Varada (Sudeep), who is a tender-natured guy, rises like a tornado in the face of injustice. His aggressive, fire-fisted techniques are resented by his mother, who tries to control him to no avail. Though Varada believes in fighting for a just cause, he also yearns to be called a 'good son' by his mother. Varada falls in love with his opponent's daughter (Rakshitha) and in the enmity that follows, his sister is murdered. However, he vows to bring the evil to justice and redeem the good name of his father. Does he manage to do it? Watch 'Dhum'.
